The A Quad is an orthotic made for VERY high and rigid arches; Possible nagging pain could be:

The F Quad

Made for Patients with extremely flat feet; These patients still many times require a custom orthotic, but can start with this and usually gain comfort:


  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Posterior Tibialis Dysfunction (middle of the arch almost touching the ground
  • Knee pain at the knee cap
  • Pinching of nerve on OUTSIDE ANKLE causing ankle pain
  • Stiff Big Toe

Typical Problems Associated with Flatfeet at the Age of 3

Learn some of the common problems with Younger Children and Dispel Myths;


  • All Children under the age of 3 have no arch
  • Many Pediatricians say not to worry about it; they will grow out of it; NOT always true
  • However, if one of the parents have flat feet, it is usually the gift that keeps giving!
  • The orthotic, while placed under the feet, will assist as you see in the videos in many of the other areas of the child's musculoskeletal development

Examining the 1-4 Year Old Flat Foot

The foot is Supposed to be flat at this age but there are other problems that require addressing that can cause many problems with your child

Flat Feet and the 1-3 Year Old Child

  • Flat Foot at Age 3 common?  YES! Let's talk Genetic
  • Where did they get those feet?
  • The flat foot, may be genetic

Children between the ages of 6-12

Should no longer have flat feet; they will have flat feet the remainder of their lives;

  • Growing Pains

  • Diseease
  • Osgood Schlatters Disease (Knee Pain)

  • Poor Posture and Postural weakness
  • Knock knees

Children between the ages of 13-17

The foot is now usually fully grown and some of the genetic traits may be taking hold:

Sever's Disease
